Apple waits until midday to allow iFiends to download iPhone 3.0? That must have been taxing on their infrastructure–they could have done it early in the morning and the downloads would have been more spread out (taking advantage of rolling time zone thing). What they did allowed the frenzy to go frothy–and I’m sure they sat back and measured the heck out of media activity.
